Volunteer Recruitment Open for the FISU World University Championship Beach Sports

Applications are now officially open for the volunteer program of the FISU World University Championship Beach Sports 2026, taking place in Figueira da Foz from September 17 to 22. This will be the second edition in the history of the world championship, following the inaugural event held in 2024 in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.

The organization of the event is led by the Academic Federation of University Sports (FADU Portugal), in partnership with the University of Coimbra (UC), the Municipality of Figueira da Foz, and the Academic Association of Coimbra (AAC). The international spectacle also holds the official support of the Portuguese Institute of Sports and Youth (IPDJ), Higher Education Institutions (IES), and Turism of Portugal.

The championship will bring four high-energy sports to the sands of Figueira da Foz: Beach Volleyball, Beach Soccer, Beach Handball, and Beach Wrestling.

Offering a unique opportunity to experience the inner workings of a global sports event, the volunteer program allows students and young people to play a pivotal role across various operational areas, from direct delegation and athlete support to media relations, logistics, and competition management.
